The summer fireflies
are gone
followed by
The last delayed swallows
flying over
the soon... solitary nests
in the oblique west towers
vibrating the air
above me and my perplexity
like lost leaves
swirling,
turning,
falling…
from the trees
already melancholic
by their absence
sighing,
crying,
longing…
Life seems dazed
almost in a limbo dormant,
just before sleeping... just before dreaming...
Even the traveling clouds
cluster their gathering
quietly... amazed
Watchers of the incomparable adjusting
of their fluttering wings
to the coming... changing winds
The bells are now... silent
waiting for the long, cold winter
beyond the sudden curtain of rain
"the first frost makes me, suddenly, shiver on my skin"
